Easy Turkey Brine Recipe
Ingredients
Method
- Simmer: In a large pot on the stovetop, combine 1 Gallon of water with your entire 16 oz pouch of Spice Sparrow Turkey Brine Seasoning.
- Dissolve and Bloom: Gently heat the mixture to dissolve the large coarse sea salt crystals and allow the whole aromatics, like the peppercorns, allspice berries, cloves, and bay leaves, to fully bloom.
- Cool: Remove the pot from the heat and pour in the remaining cold water or broth to bring the brine down to room temperature. Never pour hot brine over raw poultry.
- Brine: Submerge your turkey in the cooled liquid, cover securely, and refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours.
- Roast: Remove the turkey from the brine, pat it completely dry, and roast until golden-brown. Or fry in a turkey frier.
